Veredas Institute is a brazilian nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that aims to bring awareness among public policy makers, universities and society of the importance of evidence-informed policy making processes. We approach scientific data with knowledge translation tools, adapting communication to people’s needs. We value transparency and believe that policy debate is only possible when every person is able to understand and develop an opinion concerning public matters.
We are part of the World Health Organizations’ Evidence-Informed Policy Network (EVIPNet) since 2016, developing policy briefs and deliberative dialogues. We focus on four issue areas: Health, Education, Human Rights and Citizen Security.
We believe that every brazilian citizen must have their fundamental rights guaranteed, and we know the sustainability of this process is only obtained through a shared effort among civil society, universities and governments.
